Sa Punta des Moli is declared of Cultural Interest (BIC) and is one of the attractions in San Antonio Abad. This is a set of great historical value protected by the Heritage Act of the Balearic Islands and one of the most unique and emblematic of Sant Antoni, both for its history and ethnological and cultural elements it contains: the mill, waterwheel, the former home and current exhibition hall, the 'Trull' (olive press) traditional, the auditorium, the boathouse stands, the playground or the Mediterranean botanical garden. This allows, ultimately, meet the lifestyle and traditions of the Pitiüses islands until the early twentieth century, in an environment of great beauty.
Buenavista Mill was built in 1818 and it went all residents of the municipality to grind wheat and barley, and other products, such as peas, beans or oatmeal for animals. And it sa Punta des Moli mill was always the most appreciated and remained active for more years (until 1929). Its walls hide curious stories, such as the German philosopher Walter Benjamin, who in 1932 rented a small house next to the mill where he wrote several books, among them 'Spain 1932'o the' Ibiza'- Series, which reflects its love and respect for the landscape, the lifestyle and customs of the people, while highlighting the importance of popular culture based on oral transmission over generations.
